I used to think personalisation was the hard part of outbound. Turns out timing is harder.
We tested this accidentally. same prospect type, same offer, almost identical messaging. The only difference was timing.
One group got contacted within a day or two of posting about a problem. The other group got contacted a week later.
The late messages technically looked personalised, but they felt stale. Like showing up to a conversation after everyone already left.
Made me realise most outreach tools optimise for scale, not recency. That disconnect kills your response rates and makes your LTV:CAC harder to fix.
