I mean truly random stuff: a single comment chain, a random Discord server, a YouTube reply section, a WhatsApp group, a GitHub repo readme, a niche forum thread, or some influencer who just mentioned the tool in passing. Early growth feels way more chaotic than the polished startup success stories make it look. For example, one of my biggest initial waves came from a Discord server where someone posted a feature request that happened to be exactly what my product did. Another time, a user found me through a reply on a completely unrelated YouTube video. Honestly surprising every time. Curious where your most unexpected users came from.
