A year of Pinterest effort and I'm barely getting 200 clicks a month. Something's broken.
I did Cara Buntin's course exactly a year ago and went all in with boards, keyword research, the works. Realistically don't have time to write a blog post every week like she suggested, but did what I could - linked either to my blog or my Etsy shop (selling vintage Slavic stuff - old books, textiles, home goods).
So after a year of that, 35-50k monthly views but only about 200 outbound clicks. I went back and did another wave of keyword research, but honestly? No clue what to do next. I sell mostly old books and home bits. Why would I cover 'babushka outfit' or 'Slavic braids' - totally unrelated topics? Yet it feels like I need to widen my reach somehow. Should I make boards on specific authors, illustrators, books and hope someone searches for them?
My stuff is niche but there are like 6 million Polish people living abroad, plus Russians and others, their friends and families... So I genuinely thought Pinterest would love these lovely items with the right strategy. But if it's only a few hundred clicks a month, it's just not worth my time.
How much did you post daily? Any ideas? Because right now I'm ready to bin the whole thing.
