Impressions are a vanity metric unless they drive activation. Here's what actually moves the needle.
First, stop caring about viral. Viral for the wrong audience kills your pipeline. What you want is compounding reach that converts.
The playbook:
- Profile needs to scream one clear transformation, not a bio.
- Every post needs a hook that polarises-safe content gets scrolled.
- Storytelling + contrarian angle = save & share velocity.
- Comments matter more than likes. Likes are dead. Saves and shares signal relevance to the algorithm.
I'd look at whoever's dominating your niche, rip their content structure, then find the gap they're leaving unfilled. Fill that with your real experience-raw, not polished.
Two weeks of testing three formats: high-relevance, contrarian, story-driven. Cut the losers. Double down on the ones getting saves and meaningful comments. That's your activation loop.
Impressions follow when you stop chasing them.
