I've been down the rabbit hole of Pinterest marketing for my Etsy shop, and the conflicting advice out there is enough to make anyone doubt themselves. After trial and error (and a few headaches), here's what I've settled on.
How you post - Honestly, focus on titles and descriptions. The tool itself matters less than the keywords you pack in. Pinterest tags are fine, but the real heavy lifting happens in your copy. Don't overthink the method.
Tagging products - It's a feature Pinterest offers, so it's not spammy. Plenty of businesses tag their products. If you're worried, look at what your top competitors do. That'll ease your mind.
Keywords vs. conversational tone - Be natural but make sure you get all your keywords in. Friendly language is great, but don't sacrifice keywords for flow. Think of it like a gallery tour - you want to sound human while clearly describing each piece.
One pin a day - You don't need multiple pins per day if you only have 90 products. Rotate designs. Create 4 different looks per product and space them out. Before you know it, you'll have months of content.
Pinning others' content - It's not hurting unless they're directly competing with your main keywords. Curating relevant content can actually help your boards feel more valuable. Just keep your own pins front and centre.
None of this is rocket science, but the constant second-guessing nearly drove me mad. In the end, the simplest approach - clear descriptions, consistent posting, and not overthinking - paid off. Hope this helps someone else avoid the same loop.
