A lot of business owners have been adding these, and most of the time it feels completely backwards.
When a crawler lands on a page, it fetches the code and should already have enough signal to understand the content from the actual structure, headings, copy, entities, and internal context. A little "AI summary" blurb at the top shouldn't be needed to explain the page to itself.
If that summary does help, it's often a sign the page isn't communicating clearly on its own - weak structure, muddy sections, poor delimiters, mixed entities, that sort of thing.
So I wouldn't treat it as an SEO or AI visibility tactic so much as a possible patch for pages that are already hard to parse. The best move is just to make the page more legible in the first place.
