So I've been deep in the Claude rabbit hole for weeks now. Claude Cowork looks like a solid 'free' option (I'm on Claude Max) for scraping leads. I just started a digital marketing agency for gym owners and trying to scale cold email without blowing my budget.
Question is - do I drop cash on Hunter or Clay, or is Cowork good enough? It already spits out this much: gym name, address, owner name, email, Instagram stats, website, phone, disciplines taught, number of locations, years in business, Google reviews, Meta ad status, plus a fit score and a custom cold outreach hook. Pretty juicy, right?
But here's the thing - everyone's saying the real bottleneck isn't the data, it's delivery. You can find a thousand gym owner emails, but if your domain's reputation is trash and everything lands in spam, none of it matters. For a fresh agency, I'm leaning toward keeping it simple: use Claude to research, manually verify a handful via their sites or Insta, then send 10-15 hyper-personal emails a day. Gym owners are local business people - they actually respond well to direct, short emails that reference something specific about their gym.
What do you lot think? Is Cowork enough for the data side, or should I invest in verification tools early? And for those running gym outreach - what's your sending setup? Like, what domain and tool are you actually sending from?
