Honestly, what a relief to see this thread - I was starting to think I'd completely lost the plot today. Meta's backend has been an absolute nightmare over the last 24 hours, and it's completely distorting performance data across multiple regions.
There's a known UI glitch happening where several force-optimisation features are staying permanently active server-side, even when your frontend dashboard clearly shows them toggled OFF. From what I'm seeing across several client accounts (including my own SaaS funnel campaigns), the main culprits breaking things today are:
- Website Highlights & Summaries - they're deploying and overriding ad copy even when hard-set to OFF.
- The Carousel Loophole - if 'Show Products' is ON but Carousel is OFF, the system still forces a carousel format and completely misaligns the copy.
- Asset Swapping - primary texts are being randomly pulled from completely different ad sets and mismatched with unrelated creatives.
My advice right now: do not try to fix or optimise existing ad units. Every tweak to budget or settings just triggers a learning phase reset and burns cash while the system is unstable. If you absolutely have to launch something, build a completely raw, bare-bones ad from scratch using a strict single image or video format. Toggle all Advantage+ assets on, then toggle them all off again to force a hard reset. Otherwise, drop budgets slightly and wait for the backend deployment to settle. Save your sanity for tomorrow - this is brutal for data integrity, especially if you're tracking trial sign-ups or onboarding metrics.
