We typically start looking at Meta's Cloud API directly around the 500K messages per month mark - below that, Twilio's markup feels like a reasonable insurance policy against running your own BSP infrastructure. Fair trade-off.
The 2-3 week trust-building window for new numbers lines up with our experience too. We walk customers through a gradual ramp-up, but there's no shortcut around Meta's verification process. You just have to play ball.
On CRM integration: we built a middle ground. Every agent conversation auto-extracts structured data - name, email, intent, key details - into a leads dashboard. From there it's filters, CSV export, or webhooks to push into whatever they already use: HubSpot, Salesforce, even just Google Sheets. Most B2B customers start self-contained with the dashboard and only add webhooks once they've validated the agent is capturing the right data. Nobody wants to pipe garbage into their CRM, so the "try it standalone first" approach converts way better than leading with "we integrate with everything."
Haven't looked at Waplify yet - always good to see who else is building with official APIs instead of the Baileys crowd.
