I've been going in circles trying to learn how to sell - courses, books, you name it. 🎯 But honestly, I feel like I know the concepts but can't apply them. Someone in the thread nailed it: the paradox is learning how not to sell, but to collaborate. Pure force-selling is despised by everyone, even other reps.
Here's what's been helping me shift gears:
🎓 YouTube for quick tactics + AI for roleplay practice
🤝 Find a buddy to do live roleplays - awkward at first, but golden
🧠 Jeb Blount, Chris Voss, Dale Carnegie - but don't just memorise, adapt
🕵️ Zig Ziglar series: full of anecdotal wisdom about listening and uncovering needs they haven't figured out yet
Sales is literally talking to other sales reps most of the time in B2B - we all know the tricks. So stay curious, practise in everyday convos, and get comfortable with the awkward tweaks. Theory alone will f*ck you up.
