Spent ages crafting this gorgeous, visual blog post for Medium - rich adjectives, perfect brand voice - and Google just... ignores it. Days turned into weeks. Nothing. Not even a sniff in search results.
Started eyeing those free third-party indexer tools. Tempting, right? Quick fix for a ghosted masterpiece. But something in my gut says this smells like a PR disaster waiting to happen.
Then a colleague warned me: Google's already flagged that stuff as spam. Using an indexer could trash your brand's reputation - both Google's eyes and your Medium account's standing. Another commenter pointed out the real problem: Medium probably already has an article ranking for that topic. My beautiful post is just duplicate content, cannibalising whatever existed before.
Posting on Medium isn't a free SEO pass. It's a trade-off - you borrow their authority, but you don't own the rankings. So now I'm stuck: do I risk the indexer and possibly get banned, or just accept that my words are invisible? Either way, the brand's perception takes a hit.
Anyone else face this hollow feeling of writing gold that no one sees?
