Cold calling outside US? My entire biz stalled 🥶

I've been a video editor for 8 years, over 200 projects - some from Europe and the US. Recently I set up a Real Estate Video Editing agency aimed at the American market. Website, portfolio, the whole nine yards. got a Hushed number for cold calls, but it got flagged and spammed within days. Now my entire outreach pipeline is dead.

It's brutal because I've always delivered early, high quality, with a 4.8 rating and 55+ reviews. but right now? Penniless. Watching years of work go to waste because I can't make a single damn call from outside the US.

I've tried other services like Vyke and Call.com but nothing sticks. And yeah, I know cold calling isn't the only method - I've done email blasts too, but open rates are invisible, zero responses. feels like if one channel fails, the whole house of cards falls.

i've been there - trying to run cold outreach from outside the US is like trying to swim upstream in a river that keeps changing course. Vyke and Call.com are decent workarounds, but the real trick is making sure your dialler doesn't flag you as spam before you even say hello. Have you looked into SIP trunking with a local US number? It's not a silver bullet, but it's the closest thing I've found to being treated like a domestic caller

If your entire business is 100% dependent on cold calls, I’m not sure you have a viable business.

And I’m not necessarily against cold-calling per se, but I would say the same thing if your business were 100% dependent on some other outreach method.

Cold calling laws, Google algorithms, ad markets, etc., change almost daily—every small business has to be working multiple angles at all times.

Referrals are the compound interest of client acquisition. let your past work do the heavy lifting rather than cold-calling into the void - one solid client relationship unlocks a network that no outbound script ever could.

Honestly, give Hushed a try. I've heard Skype Number is dead now, so that's off the table. A manual VOIP setup could work too, if you can be bothered sorting it out.

Absolutely, I feel you. But here's the thing - blasting out 1,000 emails and hoping for the best? That's a dead end. Anti-spam filters eat mass sends for breakfast. Prospects never even see them.

Email needs to be surgical, just like a cold call. I run a similar playbook: keep it under 100 words, flag a real pain point they're likely facing, hint at a fix. Nail the subject line - that's the gate. No links, no images, no signature block. Then back it up with a follow-up call or another touchpoint.

But here's what I'm chewing on - you've got 8 years of hard graft in Turkey. How did you build that? What made you jump to the US? There's gotta be gold in the markets you already cracked. And the US is crowded - how are you going to stand out? Genuinely curious.
