Honestly this lines up with what I’ve seen in a lot of intent-heavy niches. Blog traffic is great for discovery, but product pages catch people much closer to the buying decision. Especially in skincare where someone searches a very specific concern, ingredient, or comparison and just wants reassurance before checkout.
A lot of blog content still matters though, even if GA makes it look weak on direct conversion. People read niacinamide for redness on Monday, then Google the brand or product name later and convert through a product page session. The attribution chain gets messy fast.
One thing I’ve noticed is the best converting product pages start acting almost like mini articles anyway. FAQs, ingredient explanations, routines, before/after context, reviews. They answer the same questions the blog does, just at the exact moment purchase intent is highest.
