Just getting started in SEO and one of my writers submitted a piece that SmallSEOTools and Duplichecker both flagged as AI generated. Freaked me out at first - would Google penalise my keywords for this?
After digging deeper, here's what I've learnt: AI detectors are basically useless. Someone pointed out that the Bible gets flagged as AI content because it's in the training data. Google themselves have said AI content is fine as long as it's helpful and adds real value for the user.
So instead of relying on those tools, read the piece yourself. Does it make sense? Does it answer the search intent behind your target keywords? Is it actually useful to someone? That's what matters. No tool can substitute your own judgement.
If the content feels generic, rewrite it. Add examples, data points, or a personal take. But if it reads naturally and provides unique insight, don't sweat the detection scores.
