I keep going back and forth on whether listing on Digistore24 actually makes sense for a SaaS like mine. We charge around $150 to $500 a month, and most of our customers come through personal connections and relationship building rather than cold affiliates. The software itself has a fairly steep learning curve, which makes it more suited to agencies and power users, not the typical small business owner who just wants a quick commission.
Offering 40% recurring lifetime commissions sounds decent on paper, but I worry the platform attracts low-intent coupon and review traffic rather than serious partners who will actually take the time to learn the product and sell it properly. A colleague once pointed out that the real challenge isn't finding affiliates, it's finding people willing to invest the effort to understand the tool and pitch it effectively. That rang true for me.
My ideal customer profile is mostly Facebook ads agencies, marketers, influencers, and coaches - people who already work with complex systems. So I'm wondering: does Digistore24 bring in that kind of traffic, or is it mostly quick-flip affiliate types? How hands-on do you need to be to make it work? And are there other platforms out there that might suit a relationship-driven SaaS better?
Keen to hear from anyone who's tried it with a product that has a learning curve. Does the exposure outweigh the effort?
