Comparison tables are definitely a sleeper hit in the current SEO landscape. We've been A/B testing them across a few high-intent landing pages in the FinTech space, and the conversion lift is hard to ignore - especially for bottom-of-funnel queries where users are comparing features or pricing.
the key, from what I've seen in our Ahrefs data and GSC click-through rates, is that tables force a structured answer Google can pull into featured snippets. that drives position-zero visibility, which then feeds back into organic CTR. plus, they reduce bounce rate because users find the exact comparison they want without scrolling through paragraphs.
One thing I'd flag: run them through Screaming Frog to make sure the table markup is clean and that you're not accidentally hiding key content behind JavaScript. Semantic HTML with proper <th> and scope attributes seems to matter for the snippet extraction.
They're not a silver bullet, but when paired with good internal linking and a clear H2 structure, they outperform standard list posts almost every time. Definitely worth doubling down on.
