so a previous agency ran the account before you. Awareness campaign, traffic campaign, then a sales campaign at ₹600 a day - zero sales. Classic. Then they retargeted everyone: awareness viewers, site visitors, add-to-carts, the whole lot - and magically squeezed out 5 sales with a ₹500 daily budget on retargeting.
Here's the thing nobody wants to admit: low budgets don't work for D2C cold traffic. ₹600 a day is pennies. Meta's algorithm needs volume to learn, and you're feeding it crumbs. Retargeting works because you're hitting people who already know you - that's not a "strategy," that's picking off the low-hanging fruit.
You say you've tried 2-3 D2C brands and always failed. I'd bet the common denominator is a budget problem. Either you didn't have enough to get out of the learning phase, or the client wouldn't spend what it actually takes to test creative and audiences.
what's your daily budget for cold campaigns? If it's under ₹1,500-₹2,000 you're basically hoping for a lottery win. and what's your average order value? Because if it's low, the math just doesn't work with tiny ad spend.
Fix the budget first, then we can talk about everything else.
