My page won't index. Anyone else?

One of my pages on student earning platforms is stuck. Not indexed after a month.

Google Search Console shows nothing wrong. Sitemap submitted. Content's solid. Tech stuff checks out.

It's like the page fell into a black hole.

Anyone dealt with this lately?

Someone told me to check GSC's "Pages" under Indexing - see the "why not indexed" bit.

Also asked how many other pages link to it.

But something feels off. Broader issue?

Honestly, I've been seeing this pattern more and more over the past few months. Before you chase backlinks or content gaps, rule out a technical crawl issue first.

Head straight to GSC → Indexing → Pages. The chart under "Why pages aren't indexed" will tell you if it's duplicate content, crawl anomalies, or something like "Discovered - currently not indexed." That "Discovered" one alone has killed more CTR for rival brands I've monitored than any algorithm update.

Dig into that table, note the primary reason, and come back with it. Then we can talk about whether it's a budget cap or a structural fix.

Search engines have gotten properly picky. if you're in the "how to earn money from home" space, they treat that with the same scepticism as a Nigerian prince email. Your page needs to actually say something different from the other 10,000 identical listicles out there. If it doesn't, why would they bother indexing it?

also, check your internal linking. if this page is a ghost town with zero links from your indexed pages, search crawlers won't give it a second glance. Drop contextual links from your high-authority pages.

I've seen this "mystery numbering" before - proper pain in the arse. It kills the scanning flow dead. If your readers can't follow the structure at a glance, Google's not going to fancy it either. Clean hierarchy matters for both humans and bots. Fix the numbering, then worry about the other optimisation stuff.
