I've been building my startup solo for a while now - told a few people casually but never went deep on the idea or the product. Yesterday, after about an hour of sleep in the past day and a half, i finally forced myself to pitch it to a group of close friends.
They tried to dodge it for a while, but once i opened with my hook, the energy flipped. we started joking, then got dead serious. I walked through:
- The full product (already built the platform)
- How each person could contribute
- The projected growth curve
- My planned marketing strategies
Pitch lasted nearly an hour. everyone fired questions, threw out ideas, and you could feel the belief in the room. that moment of validation from people who know me? it hit different.
Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm just better at pitching than I assumed, or if the product genuinely hooks people. Either way, the rush of talking about it out loud - making it real - is something else. Sharing here because I know others have felt that same spark when the idea finally clicks with an audience
