Launched two test sales campaigns on Saturday, same structure, four ad sets targeting USA, France, Spain, Germany. Two different products, two separate campaigns. Small test budget - about $25 each. Performance was solid up until Tuesday: ROAS around 4, roughly ten sales across them.
Then Tuesday happened. Two sales came through but didn't register on Meta. Not sure if that threw off the algorithm. Wednesday - zero sales. Today, same story, with even fewer add-to-carts (only one so far, way down from previous days). CPC spiked noticeably.
Checked into those two missing sales. One was an abandoned checkout that got recovered hours later. The other was someone who rejected cookies - so Meta never received their data. My pixel setup is fine, so tracking issue isn't on my end.
Now I'm wondering: is this just a Wednesday/Thursday lull, or did the tracking blip mess up campaign optimisation? With only $25 per campaign, I know Meta needs way more than a handful of conversions to learn properly. Contemplating whether to bump budget by 20% (low enough not to shock the system) or consolidate into fewer ad sets.
Also baffled why Meta can't look at tracked sales and match to similar audiences. Isn't that the whole point of lookalikes?
Anyone else seen this pattern? What would you do in my shoes?
