Cheap leads that go absolutely nowhere. That's the whole Meta experience lately, and it's driving me up a wall.
We run lead gen across a few niches and the same story keeps repeating: the CPL looks fine on paper, but the actual leads are junk. some never answer calls or texts. some swear they never submitted anything. Some hand over obviously fake info. And a scary number fill out the form but have zero clue what service they even requested.
It's not from lack of trying either. Different creatives, audiences, forms, extra qualifying questions, entirely new campaign setups. The problem keeps crawling right back.
Is anyone else running Meta lead gen right now getting buried in this? what has actually moved the needle for you?
Instant Forms vs landing pages? Higher Intent forms? Placement changes? A different optimization setup? any decent way to cut down the fake or accidental submits?
Especially curious about US home services and local lead gen, since that's where most of my pain is coming from.
would genuinely appreciate practical feedback from people actively running campaigns, not just theory. What's working right now?
