Nobody hands you free money in ad land. That £1250 thing is a spend-match, not a gift.
The way these usually work: you have to burn £1250 of your own cash within a window, often 60 days from applying the code, and only then does the credit land and get eaten against future spend. So the real offer is "spend £1250 in two months and we'll toss you £1250 in ads." Great if that budget was already planned. Expensive trap if it wasn't and you start shoving money in just to hit the threshold.
Check the actual terms inside the account, not the email. Billing, then Promotions, shows the code, the spend requirement and the deadline.
One more catch worth knowing: these are normally first-account-only. If this account has held credit before, the offer may not apply at all. Found that out the annoying way on a client account last year.
