So I've been the queen of organic traffic without lifting a finger for backlinks. wrote everything myself, waited years, got there. Now I'm launching a new domain and I don't have three years to watch DR crawl from zero to fifty. Customers practically check domain rating like it's a feature, so i need a fast track.
Started poking around at backlink tools and agencies today, and I'm lost. Do I chuck a few quid at some Fiverr freelancer and pray? Or do i hand over thousands to an agency and hope they don't just buy the same spammy links i could get myself?
One clever sod in the thread said to create unique data pieces that journalists actually want to link to. example: if you sell trainers, do a study on who buys red size 5s, find out it's only men in their 50s, write it up, and suddenly a runner's blog picks it up as 'Why do only elderly men with tiny feet buy red trainers?' He got links from Forbes and the BBC that way.
That's literally what i did for my first site - good content, earned links. But this time i want faster. Domain rating is a feature my customers see, and I need it now.
So what's the play? Is a backlink SaaS enough to find and request links, or am I better off paying an agency to do the outreach? Honest experiences, please - I'm too old for marketing fluff
