has anyone else encountered this utterly maddening bug in Meta's Ads Manager? i'm deep inside an account, desperately trying to switch from DMA targeting to Comscore targeting before the June deadline, and every time i type in a Comscore market it simply vanishes into the digital void. No boundaries, no outline, no nothing. ZIP. ZILCH. NADA. The visual map - that gorgeous, indispensable tool i rely on to tailor geo-targeting for each client - refuses to render these markets at all. And without that visual guide, i can't see what I'm targeting or excluding (mostly excluding), which turns this whole migration into a nightmare.
i know the targeting itself still works, that's not my problem. My problem is the visual representation: it's invisible. For a PR person who lives and breathes brand perception and precise audience layering, this feels like a design failure of epic proportions.
a colleague suggested using ZIP code targeting as a workaround for exclusions while the map glitch persists - it gives you the same control without needing the map to render. Another savvy soul recommended building the Comscore targeting from a crosswalk or ZIP/county list outside Meta, then QAing by location name in Ads Manager instead of trusting the buggy visual map right now.
i've tried everything: duplicating ad sets, switching campaign objectives, clearing cache, different browsers, starting from scratch, creating a new ad account, working with support, and even a rain dance (nothing worked). If anyone has a real fix or has seen this too, I'd love to hear it. thank you - any help is genuinely appreciated.
