I love the indie dev hustle, but let's be real-most small SaaS tools are a ticking time bomb. The real question isn't 'what makes you feel safe buying?' - it's 'why are you trusting a stranger with your business?' Look, I get it. Niche tools solve real problems. Been burned on a lead gen tool that stopped working after three months - dev disappeared, no updates, no apology. The stuff that works - like 7zip - is utilitarian and offline. For anything cloud-based, you're exposed. So ask yourself: do you need this tool enough to accept zero accountability? Most people don't. They just buy and pray.
