Been running CapCut daily for client deliverables the past 18 months. It handles the basics fast - trim, captions, resize, music - but the cracks show once you're managing 15+ projects a week.
Version control is the real killer. No proper diff view, no project locking. You end up opening every duplicate to verify which cut has the updated lower-third. Naming conventions help, but CapCut doesn't enforce any structure.
Exports are fine for single passes. Batch export? You're clicking each timeline. No watch-folder or CLI hook for automation. If you're feeding a content calendar via script, you'll build a workaround with PyAutoGUI or similar - brittle.
Branding assets (logos, intros, color presets) live locally per device. No cloud sync for team libraries unless everyone shares a login, which breaks audit trails.
Privacy policy is worth reading. Broad license grant on anything imported. For client work under NDA, that's a non-starter. I keep a separate DaVinci Resolve install for anything sensitive.
Bottom line: CapCut is a solid sprint tool. For a content pipeline with revisions, approvals, and reuse, it becomes manual overhead fast. Evaluate Resolve's cut page or Premiere's auto-reframe if you're scaling past solo creator volume.
