Nothing humbles you faster than a couple hundred form fills that all look identical in the CRM.
this has been my recurring headache with B2B lead gen. My programmatic pages pull in leads constantly, and we still have no clue which ones deserve a salesperson's time.
classic scenario: lead one has a twenty grand budget but isn't the decision maker, timeline is fuzzy, fit is mediocre. Lead two has five grand, perfect fit, owns the decision, wants to start this month.
any sane person calls lead two first.
the annoying part is the form usually already tells you this. Doesn't matter. both land in the CRM stamped 'new' and somebody reads everything manually like it's 2009.
so how are you all handling it? trust the HubSpot or Salesforce scoring, make sales review everything, or build custom qualification rules?
genuinely curious whether sales teams even glance at lead scores or just ignore them. from what I've seen, reps cherry pick by company name recognition while the score sits there collecting dust
