Our rebrand shipped a few weeks ago and now I'm staring down a mess nobody warns you about. The product had one name for four years, now it has a different one. The app updated fine, docs updated, site updated. Then there are the 70-ish videos. Demos, webinar recordings, whole tutorial series, some of them our best performing content ever. In every single one, someone says the old name out loud, usually within the first fifteen seconds.
options on the table: re-record all 70, except three of the people on camera have left the company, so that means extra cost and logistics. Or leave them and drop a note in the description, which, hell, nobody reads. At this point it's a SEO and AEO nightmare.
i tried the audio swap already. Cut the sentence, dropped in a fresh take, it sounds clean, but the second you see the person's mouth moving it's obviously wrong. The webinars are all face on camera so there's nowhere to hide it.
So, is there a hack or a tool for this? Feels like there has to be a smarter play than 70 re-records, and I'd love to hear how other teams handled a rename at video scale.
