I love scaling Meta ads, but finding solid B2B trade pubs to run whitepaper ads is a nightmare. LLMs give me garbage answers, so I'm turning to real experience.
1) When people say 'follow where industry leaders run their whitepaper ads' - where exactly are they running them? Sponsored articles, native ad networks, direct placements? I need the actual spots.
2) Anyone got a database of B2B magazines or journals that aren't just trade rags or commercial fluff? The old directories are dead or behind paywalls.
3) Trade journals through industry associations and conference sponsor lists - someone in a thread mentioned that these are goldmines. How do you actually locate them? Just crawl sponsor pages from expos?
4) Do newsletters still pay freelance writers decently in 2025? Or has that market collapsed too? If they do, where do you find the ones that pay?
I've tried every old trick - tracking back from bylines, keyword stuffing on LinkedIn - none of it works. Market's shrunk, hyper-saturated. I'm now targeting emerging pubs and foreign markets. Any supremely creative ideas I haven't thought of? Association websites and conference sponsor lists are the only lead I've got.
