When I first started running ads for my own little side project, I had basically no budget. Like, maybe enough for a couple of coffees a day. And I was staring at Meta Ads Manager thinking: do I test the lead gen method first-instant form vs direct DM-or do I test different angles? Both feel important, but with that tiny spend, splitting feels like I'll never get enough data.
I'm trying to book calls, by the way. So it's a 'book a call' campaign. I keep going back and forth. One day I'm convinced the form will work better because it's low friction. Next day I think DM feels warmer and more personal. And then there's the whole angle thing-maybe the problem isn't the channel but how I'm framing the offer.
Anyone else been here? What's the smarter move when you've got next to nothing to throw at testing?
