Most adult traffic landers still look like they were built for a 2012 monitor. decided to test that assumption with a quick zero-budget experiment. threw together a domain comparing cam sites, drove a handful of referrals from forum profile backlinks.
Initial setup: a popup comparison table. Looked crisp on desktop, but nearly all traffic was mobile. result? Zero clicks. text was microscopic, and the popup forced bounces before anyone could scroll.
Nuked that approach. Replaced the homepage with stacked vertical conversion cards - site logo, payout percentage, massive coloured CTA button. No friction, links visible immediately on load.
Second traffic wave: out of the clicks that reached AW Empire, roughly a quarter registered and created accounts. Huge jump from zero.
ultimately shelved the project. Managing hosting and site upkeep isn't my thing - social media accounts are a better fit for how I work. But the mobile card layout data might help someone else fix their bounce rates. Worth testing if you're stuck on legacy UI.
