Just signed on to help an ecommerce company that feeds into Amazon brands doing five million plus. They handle organic visibility and retail media-one of the bigger players in that space. Ideal customer profile leans kitchen, home improvement, pet.
My job is to rebuild their GTM motion. We've got all the tools-ZoomInfo, Usergems, AmpleMarket, Sales Nav, 6sense, the usual. Budget isn't the bottleneck. Figuring out what actually moves the needle is.
The target is VP of eCom or Head of Amazon at these brands. These people get hammered daily by agencies, ad tool vendors, freight folks, and every aggregator still breathing. Their inbox is a graveyard.
A few questions for anyone who's done outbound into a similar profile.
First, list-building signals. I can pull Helium 10/Jungle Scout revenue estimates and cross-reference with Sales Nav. So can everyone else. Anyone using more interesting signals? Thinking along the lines of sudden TACoS spikes, lost Buy Box, new ASIN launches, review velocity drops, recent ecommerce hires on LinkedIn. What's actually correlating with deals closing?
Second, hooks that land at VP level. Generic "we 2x'd Brand X" is dead. I'm leaning toward very specific operational openers-their actual top ASIN losing share to a specific competitor, that kind of thing. Curious what's working for others. Is the personalisation arms race even worth it, or is timing everything?
Third, channel mix. Cold email versus LinkedIn versus handwritten notes and gifting. Anyone running multi-channel sequences that actually convert at this seniority? Happy to hear reply rates if you're willing to share.
Fourth, inbound side. SEO for 'Amazon agency' is a bloodbath. Paid lead quality is rough at the ACV. Anyone cracked a content, podcast, or community play that produces SQLs and not vanity reach?
Fifth, AmpleMarket plus AI personalisation. Everyone's doing it. Most reads like AI slop and prospects clock it instantly. Anyone has a workflow where the output actually feels human at scale? Would love to nerd out on prompts if anyone's open.
Happy to share back what we test once the campaigns go live. Can DM the company name for context if it helps.
