so we run an ecommerce site with category pages for women, men, kids, home, perfumes - the usual. our original homepage was basically the women's collection. then someone had the bright idea to add a new 'All' page that aggregates everything into one massive listing. Big mistake.
Almost immediately our indexed pages dropped from around 70k to just over 500. That's a massive drop. We've spent the last couple of weeks adding content, fixing internal linking, checking canonicals - everything. Not a single page has been re-indexed. no manual action, no security issues. the URL inspection tool says pages can be indexed fine, but Google just won't crawl them.
It's been a month of fixes and still nothing. anyone else dealt with this? Also considering just switching back to the old homepage structure - but worried that might make things worse.
