i reduced my campaign spend and Meta is charging my credit card the same amount as before. this is not OK.
i'm a small advertiser targeting an emerging market. I had a single campaign spending $24/day. i reduced spend to just $10/day but my card is charged the same rate as before. the UI clearly states that i will only be charged $70/week. but the invoices keep coming in at the previous rate.
yes, i understand that I'm just a minnow. but if Meta is willing to scam me, how much are they scamming advertisers spending 10x, 100x, and 1000x of what im spending?
i hope there is a clever law firm lurking on this thread, because this type of dishonesty is simply not acceptable.
a colleague in the original discussion suggested paying the ads and not complaining if this is your main business. Another pointed out that customer support should have documentation where it specifies the rate would stop or change. but frankly, when the UI and billing don't align, that's a systematic failure. it's not a minor glitch-it's a breach of trust
