Hitting the nail on the head. You're describing the unicorn hire, and they're nearly impossible to find. The core issue isn't just the technical know-how, it's that most AI projects are built on a foundation of wishful thinking, not unit economics.
They skip the boring math. Where does this tool actually save or generate money? Then they completely blow past the harder part: adoption. A brilliant AI feature is garbage if the team doesn't trust it or find it easier than their old workflow. Every failed initiative I've seen dies because they never answered the basic questions: Is this what people need? Will they use it? And the kicker, how do you ensure they do?
The trap is thinking the engineer or the consultant alone can fix this. You need someone who speaks both languages-revenue ops and model utility-who is obsessed with the user workflow above all else.
What's your setup? Are you looking to build this role internally or are you consulting on a specific project?
