I've been watching this for years and it still amazes me how quickly people pull the lever on ROAS and CPL fluctuations. A few days of ugly numbers and suddenly it's panic stations - even though the underlying pipeline quality might be quietly improving. The buying cycle, attribution lag, and lead maturity all need to be in the picture before you touch a thing.
CPL is probably the worst offender. Some days the traffic just doesn't convert - external factors, bad luck, or maybe the moon's in the wrong house. Other days you get a lucky streak and the profits soar, and then you're asked why every day can't be like that. The macro trend matters far more than the micro spike. Treating each daily number as gospel is like judging a harvest by a single afternoon's rainfall.
