I love marketing, but I hate the constant hype around AI tools. Every week there's a new 'game-changing' platform, so I've tested a bunch over the past few months. Most are garbage.
Take all those content generation tools promising 'human-like' copy. They sound like they were trained on bland marketing textbooks. You upload three sample posts, they claim to 'understand your brand voice', then spit out something that reads like a robot trying to be casual. I spent more time editing than I would have just writing from scratch.
Then there was Holo Ai. Everyone was hyping it. But I played with Manus two weeks ago, fed raw data from Facebook pages into Gemini with the right prompt, and suddenly I'm getting better content than Holo Ai ever produced. Prompt engineering isn't a buzzword-it's the real differentiator. These tools are just expensive wrappers around what any decent marketer can do with a well-structured prompt.
The disappointment? They promise automation, but deliver more editing time. They claim brand voice, but give you generic noise. Most of the hype is just marketing smoke.
