Places like SCAD, Denver, or Miami Ad School come up a lot. get good at a niche topic that other writers suck at!! I hated my “journalism” contract gig and couldn’t get any job security doing different trending articles each week.…. so I spent a few weeks studying medical & parma (on Claude haha). Wrote a few sample articles, got a small contract with a pharmacy and built my way into healthcare writing. Pay is better and management needs people they can trust in regulated industries - TLDR screw the job market, education should be practical, so get HANDS ON somewhere you can get security imo

You're better off grabbing some certs from Coursera or similar, or just building a portfolio solo and getting feedback from local meetups or online communities. It's brutal out there right now. Nobody knows how the AI shift fully lands, but I don't see human-led creative work staying valued. The pay's crap, the respect's worse, and that degree won't recoup.

What I see working for people trying to stay afloat is going deep into a niche - pharma, finance, legal, med-tech. Complex industries where AI can't just churn out fluff. That's where the stability is, not in some expensive piece of paper.
