If I had to pick just one outbound channel to book meetings this year... cold calling, cold emailing, or LinkedIn outreach - which would you choose and why?
After years of testing, I've seen cold email scale beautifully, especially with AI-driven personalisation. Buyers can respond on their own time, which makes it far less intrusive. cold calling still works, but pickup rates have plummeted. LinkedIn is brilliant for warming leads, but it rarely delivers consistent meetings on its own.
That said, a colleague recently shared something that shifted my view: they don't obsess over individual channels anymore. Instead, they run all three in a single sequence - and the real difference came from fixing the data feeding into that sequence. Once they improved the quality of their targeting and intent signals, results improved dramatically regardless of which channel they used.
So perhaps the question isn't which channel is best - it's whether outbound data is clean and actionable enough to make any channel work. Curious how others are approaching this, especially with privacy changes tightening. What's your primary focus right now?
