We're running Clearbit plus ZoomInfo and I'm getting more convinced by the day that we're overpaying for mediocre data. Before I pull the plug and rebuild, I'd love to hear from folks who've already done the rationalisation.
Few specific areas I'm wrestling with:
For US-based B2B SaaS with ICPs in the 20-500 employee bracket - which enrichment vendors actually deliver decent data? Not the 'top-rated' G2 nonsense, but real-world bounce rates and field fill rates. I'm tired of paying for numbers that don't match.
Anyone made the jump from Clearbit to a waterfall setup using Clay or similar? Be keen to know the actual data quality difference in practice, and what sort of savings you saw. I'm hearing mixed things.
For automated enrichment (not manual batch uploads, but new lead hits the system → enrichment fires → record updates in CRM automatically) - what does your pipeline look like? We've been trying to build this in Latenode but error handling on failed matches keeps tripping us up.
And the category where I've never found a tool that does it well: intent data. Every provider I've tested has ridiculous noise-to-signal ratio. Someone mentioned 'facts on intent data' - would love to dig into that.
One guy in a similar thread said he hasn't run formal comparisons either, but he's rolling his own with Firecrawl for web data and LimaData for enrichment. Cost is a factor for him too. Anyone else going that route and seeing results?
Any guidance massively appreciated.
