The third part was the hardest sell internally: no follow-ups. i tracked booking rates and saw the first email accounted for 90% of calls. Follow-ups added a tiny fraction but consumed massive sending capacity. so I stopped them entirely. if you have a large lead pool-say 5,000 to 100,000-this is a game-changer. instead of follow-up sequences, i re-email the same leads every 4 to 12 weeks with a completely new "first" email. it's still technically a follow-up, but it lands like a fresh outreach, and timing improves because leads have had time to evolve.

There's a macroeconomic angle here. in a saturated market, most operators follow the same tactics-short emails, multiple follow-ups, soft CTA. the noise is immense. by doing the opposite, you create a contrast that cuts through. it's like a pendulum: when everyone swings left, swinging right gets you noticed. this isn't about being contrarian for its own sake, it's about recognizing diminishing returns and reallocating resources to what actually moves the needle.
