I'm trying to figure out if this is just how the algorithm tests new B2B data services.

I started a small lead generation tool that extracts intent signals and builds targeted lists. The data sets are small, usually like 2 to 4 fields, and they're about specific industries, buying triggers, and how companies learn from competitors.

The weird part is it's not just low views. Most of the data sets are barely being shown at all.

My recent uploads look roughly like this:

Data set 1: 0 impressions
Data set 2: 9 impressions
Data set 3: 0 impressions
Data set 4: 0 impressions
Data set 5: 0 impressions

I can't post links or screenshots here, so I'll just describe the packaging. The topics/titles are along these lines:

How Salesforce Uses Intent Data to Close Deals

How B2B Buying Became Account-Based

How One SaaS Company Radicalized Lead Scoring

How This Data Provider Inspired HubSpot and Marketo

I also design the landing pages myself.

I'm not assuming the data sets are amazing. Maybe they're not. But with so few impressions, I'm having trouble knowing whether the issue is the actual data quality, the topics, the landing page design, the titles, or something basic in my settings/details.

For people who have started new B2B data services from zero, is this normal? Does the platform sometimes give data sets almost no impressions at first? Or does this usually mean the topic/title/landing page isn't giving the algorithm enough reason to test the data?

I'm especially curious if B2B intent data is just too niche unless the topic has a stronger hook.

0 impressions is a different problem from low impressions. It means the platform isn't showing the data to anyone at all, and for a brand new service that's usually just because there's no one to show it to yet. No existing users to push it to first, no watch history for the algorithm to guess who'd want it. So it sits there. The first handful of uploads getting almost nothing is pretty normal, especially in your niche.

B2B data tools are a weird format though. They live on search and suggested, not the home feed, and a new service can't really get into suggested yet because the platform hasn't worked out which bigger tools to sit you next to. Early on, search is basically your only open door.

So I'd look at your titles first. A few of them are built for suggested rather than search. "How B2B Buying Became Account-Based" or "How This Data Provider Inspired HubSpot and Marketo" are good curiosity titles for when you're sitting next to some 2 million view case study, but nobody searches those words so right now they're invisible. The Salesforce one is closer because people actually search those names. Put the searchable thing at the front and you give the one open door something to grab.

B2B data tools aren't too niche by the way, they're just the slowest format to start from zero. It builds through search and suggested over months, it doesn't pop in week one, so five uploads of almost nothing isn't the service being broken. The small 2 to 4 field data sets probably isn't helping either, lead lists earn their reach on depth and you don't build much of that in three fields.
